13 Nov 2010       Coming to terms with the Comprehensive Spending Review

John Hayes, Minister of State for Further Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning, is to speak at the Association of Colleges conference on the morning of 17 November. Graham Morley, Principal Chief Executive of South Staffordhire College, and a long-term friend of BACH, will be attending this conference in the morning and then crossing Birmingham to tell the autumn conference, in the afternoon, what he has just heard, hot off the presses. Please see the urls below for interesting presentations of the situation as it stands today. Steve Besley is one of the finest, if not the finest, summarisers of the political scene as it affects education. The following webpage and the three video presentations are therefore of great interest, as he attempts to weigh up the various changes made to the funding of the public sector, and FE in particular.
